We have long known diesel exhaust fumes are unhealthy - you don't have to be a brain surgeon to know they are in fact dangerously polluting the atmosphere right across the globe.
But now WHO, or the World Health Organisation, has come out of the closet and concludes diesel fumes cause lung cancer and possibly cause tumours of the bladder as well.
Its findings were based on research into high-risk occupations such as miners, railway workers and truck drivers.
